Echeveria 'Lola' is a unique “rosebud” shaped succulent with green leaves featuring a hint of lavender, pink, and even light blue, enhanced by a thick layer of almost pearlescent farina – which means extra care must be taken not to mar the leaves with the oils from our fingerprints! As if this otherworldly look wasn’t enough, gorgeous coral-hued, bell-shaped blooms will grace delicate flower stalks in the early spring months, after the plant emerges from winter dormancy.

Water frequency: ​Every 10 to 14 days.

Echeverias have typical watering needs for a succulent. It’s best to allow the moss ball to dry out completely between waterings. Never let water sit in the rosette as it can cause rot or fungal diseases that will kill the plant. Also, remove dead leaves from the bottom to avoid pests.

Soaking:

Fill a bowl with room temperature water. Place your kokedama in the water, plant side up. Push the moss ball down so that it is fully submerged and begins to absorb water. Allow soaking for 10-25 minutes, or until fully saturated with water.

Note: We use rainwater. If you use tap water, we recommend letting a bucket of water seat outside for at least 8 hours at daylight while the chlorine evaporates.

Light: Full sun, Part Shade

Echeveria needs bright sunlight to maintain their colors and compact rosette form.

Feeding:

During spring and summer, fertilize your kokedama monthly with a liquid indoor plant fertilizer at 1/2 the recommended concentration. Simply mix the fertilizer into the water and soak as usual.
